The Ultimate Pool Champions League is coming to Belgium for its inaugural edition. A ranking event open to players from all countries for the first time. (Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, ...) Format and rules below.
The qualifying rounds will be played at the participating venues. The final stage will take place during our 1st Belgium Open from January 22 to 24, 2027. The venue is yet to be determined.

Ultimate Pool Champion League Regulations:
The Ultimate Pool Champions League is coming to Belgium for its first edition.
A ranking event open to players from all countries for the first time. (Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, …)
Live
Taking place on Monday evenings from November 2026, this unique event will be broadcast live every week from 7:30 PM on ultimatepoolbelgium.com (Facebook, YouTube, Twitch).
Only players wearing an outfit featuring the « ULTIMATE POOL » or « ULTIMATE POOL BELGIUM » logo and playing on a "RASSON" table will be broadcast live. (see general regulations)
Tournament Venue
The venue where a player wishes to play must receive approval from UPB in order to host the Champions League. A request can be submitted by the person responsible for the venue by completing the form on the website: "register my venue" https://www.ultimatepoolbelgium.com/fr/etablissements/
Phase 1 matches : (qualifying phase)
The player must register at a venue located closest to their region. UPB, in agreement with the person responsible for the venue, will then approve the player's registration.
If the venues in their region are full, the player may request to be transferred to a venue in another region where places are still available.
Phase 2 and 3 matches will be played exclusively in Belgium at venues to be determined by UPB at a later date.
Each region is geographically defined as follows :
Zone 1 Namur-Liège-Netherlands-Germany
Zone 2 Mons – Charleroi – Tournai - Brussels
Zone 3 Flemish Region (linguistic)
Zone 4 France
Tournament Information
Format : Series of 16 players / venue depending on the number of pool tables. 1 series per 4 tables.
Phase One: Qualification
Each match lasts 30 minutes. Players play 5 frames. Players receive 1 point for each frame won + 1 point for the match victory. If a player does not reach four frames before the end of the time limit, the score is maintained as the result. In the event of a draw, no additional point is awarded for the victory.
At the end of the matches, the player ranked first qualifies for phase two.
If players are tied on points at the end of a Champions League group (qualification), The player who won the head-to-head match will qualify. If the match ends in a draw At the end of the matches, the top four players qualify for the second phase.
Phase Two (32-64 players): Group Stage Depending on the number of registrations
The players will be placed into a group of four players. The top two players will qualify. A set is first to four frames, but with a 30-minute match clock. If a player does not reach four frames before the end of the time limit, the score is maintained as the result.
At the end of each set, players receive 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and no points for a loss.
If players are tied on points at the end of a Champions League group, a 6 RED will determine the winner. This is also necessary because this is a ranking event and ranking points must be awarded.
Phase Three (16-32 players) : Knockout Stage Final Evening
Consisting of the 16-32 remaining players. There will be a knockout stage followed by a final. A set is first to four frames, but with a 30-minute match clock. If a player does not reach four frames before the end of the time limit, the score is maintained as the result.
If players are tied on points at the end of a Champions League group, a 6 RED will determine the winner. This is also necessary because this is a ranking event and ranking points must be awarded.
The Golden Break and Golden Duck are in effect throughout the Champions League.
Golden Break : In 8-ball pool, a golden break (or "winning break") occurs when a player pots the black ball (the 8) directly from the break and immediately wins the game
Golden Duck : Potting the black ball (8) on the break while also potting the cue ball. This generally results in an immediate loss
Affiliation and Payment : (2026 / 2027 season)
UPB reserves the right to manage registrations as well as the venue hosting the event.
Registration: men'Series €75 - Women's Series €60
Player Forfeit :
The other player will receive the winning points (5-0)
However, cases of force majeure may be reviewed and decided upon by the committee.
Dress Code: according to the general regulations
The player qualified for phase 2 must play wearing the official outfit featuring the « Ultimate Pool » or « Ultimate Pool Belgium » logo
Prize Money
Prizes : The Ultimate Pool Champions League 2026 has a total prize fund of + €8,000. (depending on the number of registered players)
The prize money will be distributed as follows: (the exact distribution will be communicated according to the number of players registered at the close of registration)
Phase 1 : (Qualifying)
Group of 16 players (4 qualifiers)
Phase 2 and 3 : The prizes will be awarded to the 8 remaining players. The prize from this phase will be added to the prize already awarded during the qualifying phase.
Ranking Points Distribution:
- Winner: 6,000
- Runner-up: 3,000
- Semi-finalist: 2,000
- Quarter-finalist: 1,500
- Round of 16: 1,250
- Round of 32: 1,000 (Qualifiers)
- Participants: 250 (qualifying phase)
